Following a unanimous vote in support of a resolution to try and resolve a cell tower issue on Upper Huntley Road at the June 12^, 2008 LMCC meeting, a subcommittee of those most affected was created. Cell tower owners were invited to meet with concerned neighbors and the tower landowner to try and reach an agreeable solution.

An Alaska Digitel representative met with concerned neighbors over a proposed extension to a cell tower at the top of Huntley Road.  A compromise solution was reached with the approval of all excepting one person.  The tower will be extended, but it will be moved downhill.  While the tower will be 29 feet taller, the top of the tower will be lower in elevation than the present tower and it will be painted brown. The electronics will also be painted.
